Job summary

The Research Product Manager at LILA will be responsible for defining and owning the capability roadmap for foundational AI models, translating stakeholder needs into measurable requirements, analyzing competitive models, and establishing evaluation criteria and success metrics to ensure scientific and operational impact. The role requires strong experience in AI/ML systems, product management, and cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on large or foundational models in a scientific context.

Responsibilities

Own the capability roadmap for core foundational models by synthesizing input from science teams and commercial stakeholders into measurable requirements. Define evaluation criteria and success metrics to determine model readiness for production.

Qualifications

AI/ML Systems Benchmarking & Evaluation Infrastructure Model Release & Quality Gates Model Training & Evaluation Product Management Roadmap Planning Scientific Research Stakeholder Communication

Requires a degree in Computer Science or Engineering and proven experience managing AI/ML product roadmaps, preferably in a scientific domain. Must have a strong understanding of how large models are trained, evaluated, and released.
