Job summary

Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Mechanical Engineer to create and review models and BOMs for power distribution equipment including Metal-Clad Switchgear, Metal-Closed Switchgear, and Panelboards. The role involves reviewing electrical diagrams, converting electrical drawings into mechanical packages, providing support for product designs, and coordinating with electrical engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for creating and reviewing mechanical models and bills of material for power distribution equipment, supporting product design modifications, and collaborating with electrical and manufacturing teams to ensure project continuity.

Qualifications

Candidates should have 1-3 years of sheet metal design experience, preferably with switchgear or UL891 switchboard, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, knowledge of mechanical design principles, and experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects are essential.
