Job summary

Apprentice in Mechanical Engineering at Cavendish Nuclear supporting nuclear projects, focusing on design, modelling, calculations, and documentation, with hands-on experience and academic study toward a BEng in Nuclear Engineering.

Responsibilities

The apprentice will work across the engineering lifecycle to support nuclear new build and decommissioning projects through design, modelling, and technical documentation. They will also provide operational support, resolve engineering queries, and assist in managing plant and equipment obsolescence.

3D modelling CAD Engineering documentation Equipment specifications Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Mechanical calculations Mechanical Engineering Plant and equipment maintenance Technical guidance Technical reports

Candidates must hold 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including Maths, English, and Science, plus 104 UCAS points in relevant STEM subjects. Applicants must also be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard and Security Check clearance.
