Job summary
The Registered Nurse - ASC OR/ARD is responsible for professional nursing care of the surgical or endoscopic patient and to achieve total patient centered care through use of the nursing process.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care throughout admission, surgery or endoscopy recovery, and discharge, including assessments, monitoring, medication administration, documentation, and patient education. Maintain supplies and equipment, complete post-operative follow-up calls as needed, and comply with facility policies, safety requirements, and professional standards.
Qualifications
Nursing
Graduation from an accredited nursing school and an Illinois RN license are required; three to five years of comparable nursing experience is preferred. CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire, while PALS and ACLS certifications are required within six months.
