Job summary

A Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer role focused on mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. Responsible for diagnosing faults, maintaining equipment, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to maximize plant uptime. Requires hands-on technical skills, safety compliance, and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

The engineer will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems to ensure plant equipment operates safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include performing planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on machinery such as conveyors, shredders, and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

Electrical Fault-finding Hydraulic systems Mechanical PLC fault-finding Pneumatic systems Preventive maintenance Troubleshooting Welding and fabrication

Candidates must have a completed apprenticeship with a C&G NVQ 3 Diploma in Engineering maintenance or equivalent. Proven experience in mechanical and electrical fault-finding within a heavy industry or manufacturing environment is required.
