Job summary

Registered Nurse (RN) in ICU responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care, monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, ensuring safety, and collaborating with care team, with a focus on evidence-based practice, ethical standards, and professional development in a full-time 18-bed ICU setting.

Responsibilities

Provide and evaluate nursing care for ICU patients, including assessment, care planning, treatment, medication administration, and accurate electronic health record documentation. Collaborate with patients, families, and the care team; promote safety and evidence-based practice; delegate appropriately; and contribute to quality initiatives and professional development.

Qualifications

ACLS Basic Life Support

Requires graduation from a Board of Nursing-approved nursing program, an active RN license valid in the state of practice, BLS certification, and typically at least one year of clinical nursing experience; ACLS is also required for this ICU role. Candidates need strong clinical judgment, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, and must meet the role’s physical requirements; a BSN is preferred.
