Job summary

Provide professional nursing care in a step-down unit by adhering to nursing processes, policies, and standards of practice. Meet patient and family needs through communication, coordination, and evaluation, ensuring compliance with all legal and institutional requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process and address the needs of patients and their families. Coordinate and communicate with the multidisciplinary team, evaluate care, and comply with policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold current New Jersey nursing licensure and American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS certification and a critical care course are required within six months of hire. Nurses must enroll in an accredited BSN or MSN program within six months of hire and graduate by their third employment anniversary, with specified grandfathered exemptions; medical-surgical experience and specialty certification are preferred.
