Job summary

The Critical Care staff RN provides direct and indirect care to patients in the ICU, including assessment, care planning, medication administration, assisting with procedures, documentation, and patient education, guiding nursing care in a hospital critical care setting.

Responsibilities

The Critical Care RN provides direct patient care, creates and implements individualized care plans, and coordinates with other healthcare providers. They are responsible for administering medications, documenting patient progress in the electronic medical record, and assisting with medical procedures.

Qualifications

Care Planning Communication Critical Care Nursing Documentation Equipment Handling Medical Procedures Assistance Medication Administration Patient Assessment Patient Education Team Leadership

Candidates must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Indiana and possess an Associate of Science degree in nursing. Basic Life Support certification is required, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within six months of hire.
