The Maintenance Engineer supports the safe, efficient operation of manufacturing equipment in a regulated food production environment. Key responsibilities include performing preventive and reactive maintenance, diagnosing faults, supporting continuous improvement, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and assisting with equipment installation and validation.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Engineer will perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure the reliable operation of manufacturing equipment. They will also support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure all engineering activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Documentation and record keeping Electrical systems Equipment installation and commissioning Fault diagnosis Food Safety Standards GMP standards HSE standards Mechanical systems Preventive maintenance (PPM) Troubleshooting

Candidates should have proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, ideally within a highly regulated environment like food or pharma. An engineering qualification such as an NVQ Level 3, HNC, or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
