Job summary

Profluent is seeking an Executive Director / Vice President, Biology & Translational Pharmacology to lead the scientific strategy and execution of gene editing therapeutic programs, focusing on liver-directed genetic medicines for inborn metabolic diseases. The role requires deep expertise in liver biology, metabolic diseases, pharmacology, and in vivo models, along with strategic leadership to advance multiple therapeutic programs from concept to IND readiness.

Responsibilities

Lead the scientific strategy and execution of liver-directed genetic medicine programs from concept through IND-enabling studies. Oversee the translational biology and in vivo pharmacology organization while managing cross-functional therapeutic teams.

Qualifications

antisense oligonucleotides biopharma R&D gene therapy genetic medicines genome editing liver biology mRNA/LNP therapeutics preclinical development RNAi translational pharmacology

Requires an advanced degree (PhD, MD, etc.) and 12+ years of biopharma R&D experience in genetic medicines and liver biology. Must have a proven track record of advancing therapeutic programs toward development candidate nomination.
