Job summary

The Nurse Assistant will provide basic patient care, assist with specimen collection, manage equipment, and support patient safety in an oncology/chemo unit. Must have healthcare-related certification or clinical experience, and demonstrate compliance with safety and care procedures.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect care to oncology patients, including assessment, medication administration, and pain management. They are responsible for documenting patient outcomes, communicating with the interprofessional team, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

Dysphasia Precautions Environmental Safety Equipment Use Feeding Patients Intake and Output Recording Patient Care Patient Transportation Positioning & Turning Safety Protocols Specimen Collection

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school and possess a valid Pennsylvania RN license. Additionally, AHA BLS certification is required, and chemotherapy certification is preferred.
