Job summary

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are responsible for implementing therapeutic care plans, assisting in patient treatment, and ensuring confidentiality in a mental health rehabilitation setting. They work with consumers diagnosed with chronic psychiatric disorders, supporting treatment teams and providing compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with consumers and the treatment team to implement therapeutic care plans and activities, observe changes in symptoms or behavior, and assist with medical treatment as assigned. Support admissions and room transfers, maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality, and perform other related duties.

Qualifications

Communication Compassion HIPAA Listening Time Management

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and certified or deemed eligible to work in healthcare in Illinois; a high school diploma is required, while some college is preferred. At least one year of experience is preferred, particularly in psychiatric or behavioral health settings, along with basic computer skills and a compassionate, tolerant service mindset.
