Job summary

The 4-year Engineering Apprenticeship program offers technical knowledge, practical skills, and workplace experience for a career in manufacturing as a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician, with ongoing study and site-based training, including potential shift work and living away from home.

Responsibilities

Complete the Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship and Level 4 HNC learning while developing practical engineering skills through supervised site-based training. Support maintenance, fault-finding, repairs, production-line breakdowns, equipment inspections, and continuous improvement while following safety, quality, hygiene, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

Applicants must have five GCSEs at grades 4–9 or equivalent, including Maths, English, and a science subject, be at least 18 by the start of Year 2, and have been a UK resident for at least three years by the apprenticeship start. Candidates should be interested in engineering, willing to study full time and potentially live away from home in Year 1, and able to work shifts that may include nights in Year 4.
