Job summary

The Principal Software Engineer, Safety Foundation at Roblox leads technical direction, architecture, and implementation of a scalable safety platform. The role involves creating AI-integrated workflows, building developer platforms, and collaborating with safety and product teams to enhance safety infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities

Serve as the hands-on tech lead for the Safety Foundation team, overseeing the architecture and implementation of a scalable, AI-first safety platform. You will define backend standards and partner with cross-functional teams to integrate safety capabilities across Roblox.

Qualifications

AI/ML platform backend systems code review CQRS & Event Sourcing distributed systems Go NoSQL databases performance optimization software architecture team leadership

Requires 8+ years of experience in large-scale backend systems and 4+ years of technical leadership. Proficiency in Go and experience with NoSQL databases and AI/ML platform integration are strongly preferred.
