Responsibilities

The SCTU nurse provides age-appropriate nursing care during intra-facility transports, including the management of ventilators and intravenous medications. They also deliver basic and advanced life support to individuals experiencing sudden illness or injury within the EMS system.

Qualifications

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Balloon Pumps Basic Life Support (BLS) Critical Care Transport Emergency Department Nursing IV Medication Administration Life Support Procedures Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Prehospital Life Support Ventilators

Candidates must hold an associate degree and be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program, with at least two years of relevant nursing experience. Required certifications include RN-EMT, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and various incident command certifications.
