Job summary

Verkada seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of its internal access management platform, focusing on secure, high-availability infrastructure, integrations with identity providers, automation of access workflows, and compliance. The role requires extensive experience in backend engineering, identity protocols, and cloud-native operations, contributing significantly to the company's security and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

You will own the technical architecture of the internal access management platform and design highly available backend infrastructure for access provisioning. Additionally, you will build automation tools to replace manual workflows and ensure all access controls meet compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Access Management Attribute-based Access Control Automation Identity Infrastructure OAuth 2.0 OIDC Policy-based Access Control Role-based Access Control SAML SCIM

Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent and at least 5 years of backend or security platform engineering experience. Strong proficiency in identity primitives, access control models, and cloud-native infrastructure is required.
