Job summary

This is a founding-level ML Research Engineer opportunity at an early-stage AI/ML data and services company, working directly with the founding team to build and scale the AI research backbone from the ground up. The role sits at the intersection of applied machine learning and systems engineering, shaping research culture and pushing the boundaries of model performance and data quality in the frontier AI space. Responsibilities include designing and evaluating ML models like LLMs and diffusion models, developing scalable pipelines, collaborating with data and infrastructure teams, contributing to benchmarks and open research, and prototyping research into usable tools.

Responsibilities

Design, train, and evaluate advanced ML models including LLMs and diffusion models while building scalable experimentation pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize training throughput and establish foundational research standards.

Qualifications

Requires 3–10 years of experience in ML research or systems engineering with deep proficiency in frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to transition research concepts into production-ready code within a fast-paced environment.
