Job summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs essential patient care tasks under nurse supervision, including ADLs, vital signs, patient safety, and procedural assistance, in a hospital setting. The role involves direct patient interactions, supporting patient transfer and discharge, and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician performs essential patient care tasks, including vital signs, ADL assistance, and safe patient handling under the direction of nursing staff. They also support the unit through equipment maintenance, patient transport, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

Candidates must be eligible to work in the US and hold a current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers. Completion of an accredited CNA training course or at least one nursing clinical rotation is preferred.
