Job summary

A permanent on-site Electrician role working within HMP Nottingham, responsible for electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, inspections, and ensuring safety and compliance with regulations in a secure environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver planned and preventative electrical maintenance across the prison estate to ensure operational continuity. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults while maintaining strict compliance with safety standards and BS7671 regulations.

Qualifications

BS7671 standards CCTV systems knowledge Electrical maintenance Electrical repairs Electrical systems safety Fault diagnosis Fire alarm systems knowledge Inspections and testing Security environment procedures Work at height

Candidates must hold a City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification and a BS7671 18th Edition certificate. The role requires the ability to work in a secure environment and pass a prison security clearance.
