Waymo seeks a Vehicle Package and Integration Lead responsible for full-vehicle mechanical integration of the Waymo Driver system, managing interface requirements, geometric compatibility, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to bring vehicles from concept to production. The role requires extensive experience with CAD tools, BOM management, and automotive engineering, and involves overseeing complex projects with external OEM partners.

Responsibilities

Lead the full-vehicle mechanical integration of the Self Driving System from concept to production, ensuring compatibility of all physical systems. Manage mechanical interface requirements, CAD strategies, and the Engineering Bill of Materials while aligning cross-functional milestones.

Qualifications

Bill of Materials (BOM) Management CAD design tools collaboration communication cross-functional team leadership geometric sensor placement analysis mechanical integration product lifecycle management (PLM) sensor integration vehicle packaging

Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with at least 8 years of vehicle integration experience. Must be highly proficient in advanced CAD tools like CATIA and experienced in BOM management and leading cross-functional teams.
