Job summary

Waymo is seeking a Software Engineer with at least 2+ years of experience in modern C++ to develop high-quality software systems for autonomous vehicles, analyze field data, and participate in cross-functional workflows. The role involves work on on-vehicle and off-vehicle software, with a focus on ensuring the safety and reliability of autonomous driving technology.

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality vertically-integrated C++ software systems to manage autonomous vehicle functions. Analyze field data and simulation results while participating in cross-functional project planning and requirement reviews.

Qualifications

C++ distributed systems microcontroller / embedded systems Python sensing and signal processing software analysis and debugging software development software safety software testing system architecture

Requires a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with at least 2 years of professional experience in modern C++. Experience with real-time, embedded, or complex distributed systems is required.
