Waymo is seeking an experienced Staff Machine Learning Engineer specialized in Vision-Language Foundation Models to lead the development of multimodal perception systems for autonomous vehicles. The role involves designing large-scale data curation, training advanced models with reinforcement learning, and integrating reasoning capabilities to enhance autonomous driving technology.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical strategy for pre-training and post-training of large multimodal foundation models to enhance autonomous driving reasoning. Architect scalable data flywheels and inference pipelines to automate the labeling of critical edge cases for onboard perception models.

Qualifications
