Job summary

The role involves developing cross-platform purchase flows, social gifting experiences, and commerce surfaces for Discord's Social Commerce team. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams to build scalable code, leading projects through the full lifecycle, working with game studio partners, and continuously improving software quality. The position requires 5+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in Python, Typescript/React, Elixir, and Rust, with a preference for experience in game or mobile development and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

You will build and scale cross-platform commerce features and social gifting experiences within the Discord ecosystem. You will also collaborate with product, design, and game studio partners to iterate on features based on experiment results.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least 5 years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years of professional experience with Typescript and React. Proficiency in at least two of the core tech stack languages (Python, Typescript, Elixir, Rust) is required.
