Job summary

Senior IC at Klaviyo responsible for scaling enterprise SaaS platforms, leading performance, reliability, and multi-region readiness through architectural improvements, bottleneck removal, and AI integration.

Responsibilities

The Principal Engineer will lead platform-wide architectural changes to improve performance, reliability, and scalability across multi-tenant systems. They will define enterprise scalability fitness functions, implement sharding and caching strategies, and drive systemic fixes through technical leadership and cross-organizational alignment.

Qualifications

AI tools & automation caching/back‑pressure capacity planning high‑volume migrations multi‑region readiness performance engineering profiling sharding/partitioning synthetic traffic generation workload modeling

Candidates must have 12+ years of experience scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms with deep expertise in performance engineering and capacity planning. Strong proficiency in AI-driven automation, profiling, and the ability to communicate complex technical tradeoffs to executive stakeholders is required.
