Job summary

The Head of People Operations at Atomic Machines will lead and develop all aspects of employee lifecycle, HR systems, and employee experience, focusing on process rigor, modern performance programs, AI-forward tools, and in-office culture across multiple sites, with a goal to scale the HR infrastructure beyond 200+ employees.

Responsibilities

The Head of People Operations will own the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance, while building operational rigor for a scaling company. They will also lead people programs, select HRIS systems with an AI-forward approach, and foster a consistent employee experience across multiple sites.

Candidates must have 10+ years of progressive People Operations leadership experience, including a startup-to-scale transition and expertise in HRIS implementation. A bachelor's degree and strong fluency in California employment law are required, along with the ability to work in-person at company sites.
