    How do applicant tracking systems read keywords?

    Most ATS software parses your resume into text and searches it for the skills, titles and tools named in the posting. Recruiters filter on those terms, so using the posting's exact wording in honest, specific bullets raises your chance of surfacing.

    Is my text stored?

    No. The keyword counting, matching and exports run in your browser. The posting excerpt is sent to an AI service only to classify keywords. Your resume is compared locally and is never sent.

    Exact match or synonyms?

    Some systems match exact phrases and others understand close variants. Safest approach: use the exact phrase from the posting once, and a natural synonym elsewhere. This tool matches exact wording, case-insensitively.

    How many keywords should I add?

    Prioritise must-have terms you can honestly back up. Covering most of the must-haves and a few nice-to-haves works better than stuffing every term. Never claim skills you do not have.

    Can I reuse this for every application?

    Yes, run it for each posting. Roles with similar titles often use different wording, so tailoring your resume to each list of keywords gives better results than one generic version.
