AI visibility is the degree to which a brand, product, or piece of content can be discovered and correctly understood by AI systems — chat assistants, search copilots, and autonomous agents — that increasingly mediate how people find information and make decisions.

# Why it matters

As users delegate research and discovery to AI, being accurately represented to those systems becomes as important as ranking in traditional search. Structured, agent-friendly formats — such as [schema.org](https://schema.org) markup, `llms.txt`, and the [Open Knowledge Format (OKF)](https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/knowledge-catalog/blob/main/okf/SPEC.md) — let a brand describe its products, concepts, and expertise in a way agents can reliably consume.
